Painting a Narrowboat
Narrowboat paint or canal boat paint is something we get asked for quite a lot when owners are looking for the best paint for the exterior of their boat. One customer, Mr Adam, was so pleased with the result of painting his narrowboat with Regal Paint that he sent us lots of photos to share with our customers. Narrowboat restoration project by Mr Adams
Looking a cost-effective and long-lasting solution, Mr Adams called to ask for advice on the best paint for narrowboats.
“A few months ago I spoke to one of your staff there about using your enamel paint on my narrow boat. I have used your light grey garage floor paint on the roof and back deck and slate grey and black enamel on the sides. To get the finish I wanted, I have thinned the paint down progressively through the the four coats and applied with a fine roller. I have then applied a coat of polish to finish off the look required. The entire job has been done on the river, out in the open.
I thought you might like to see the results.”
Original condition
“A lot of people come past me on the river and are amazed at the transformation, the mooring is off grid and remote but a lot of boats come past this time of year. Please see attached photo of how she looked before I started the renovation.”
After painting
“Please see attached pictures of my completed narrow boat, using your products. Light grey floor paint on the roof and slate grey and black enamel on the sides.

Quick Dry High Build Floor Paint - A single pack quick dry floor coating which provides good durability against abrasion and impact along with with protection against solvent, salt and water damage. Very easy to apply. Suitable for heavy duty commercial and industrial areas.
